Workouts & Training
Otter Pups
- Train in the deep end of the pool, 15 yds
- 3 ability groups, bronze, silver & gold
- Bronze: Basics in freestyle & backstroke, breathing, kicking & body position.
- Silver: Fundamentals in Breastroke & more encouragement to attend silver circuit meets
- Gold: Fundamentals in Butterfly, Racing Starts & legal turns
Workouts & Training
Bronze Group
- 25 yard pool, two lanes, two ability levels
- Emphasis on stroke technique & drills for all four strokes
- Introduction to cardiovascular training, set work, pace clock, starts
- Strong encouragement to attend bigger meets & competition
Workouts & Training
Silver Group
- Two Lanes, two ability groups, approx. 9 to 11 years of age
- Emphasis on drills & technique with more yardage
- Increase awareness levels for competition
- League, State & Regional quality meets
- Teach & encourage goal setting opportunities
Workouts & Training
Gold Group
- Two lanes, two ability groups, approx age 12 – 18 yrs.
- Emphasis on perfect technique, high volumes of yardage, strong cardio set work
- More strength work, ie dryland & plyometrics
- Strongly encouraged to participate in bigger meets
- League, State, Regional & National meets
- Commitment & training year round
- Encouraged to train on Tues & Thursday mornings
